7th Week of Teaching Practice

19 January 2026 The morning began with a surge of energy as students from 8 E conducted the school assembly. Watching them lead the student body set a positive, structured tone for the day. During this time, I managed my discipline duty, ensuring order as the routine quickly felt natural again despite the long break. The theme of the day was "reconnection." Beyond the classroom, I was actively involved in the school's social welfare routine by serving mid-day meals to the students. This interaction outside of a formal academic setting allowed me to see the students' enthusiasm and joy firsthand. In the classroom, I focused on easing back into the curriculum by having casual talks with classes 8C and 8E about their recent exams before introducing the new lesson, "Thank You, Ma'am". Evaluation: The day was a "vibrant chaos" that reminded me why I chose this path. I realized that a month’s gap had not caused any significant disruption in my rapp...

12 January 2026 School Experience: The day followed the usual rhythm of discipline duty, register signing, and serving mid-day meals. Classroom Experience: For class 8E during the 4th period, I conducted a 25-mark achievement test based on the lessons from Unit 4. Evaluation: It was a fun and productive day characterized by active student participation. 13 January 2026 The school day started with the usual bustling energy of the students. While observing the school culture, I noted that while the environment is generally supportive, there is a clear need for better supervision during the transition between lunch and the start of afternoon classes to keep the hallways quiet. In the classroom, I delivered the remaining portion of "Thank You, Ma'am". Using a PowerPoint presentation, I introduced the glossary; the students noted the terms down and practiced creating their own sentences. Overall, the day was a success in terms of student engagement. ...

6 January 2026 Returning to DVVHSS, Thalavoor, after a month’s hiatus felt remarkably seamless, as if no time had passed at all. The day began with the familiar rhythm of discipline duty at 9:15 AM, followed by the heartwarming experience of serving mid-day meals to enthusiastic students. In the classroom, I reconnected with my 8C and 8E students through casual conversations about their exams before introducing the upcoming lesson, 'Thank You Ma’am'. Overall, the day was a vibrant blend of energy and joy, proving that a long break couldn't disrupt the strong bond with the students or the steady flow of the teaching plan. 7 January 2026 The day began with the familiar rhythm of signing the register and reporting for duty. Beyond the standard mid-day meal service, I took on additional responsibility by standing for lunch duty in classes with absent teachers. In the classroom, I held sessions for classes 8E and 8C during the 4th and 5th periods, where we officially...

24 November The week kicked off on a high note! Monday's Morning Assembly was a special occasion dedicated to celebrating talent. We held the Prize Distribution Ceremony for the winners of the recent Kalolsavam (Arts Festival). It was inspiring to see the students' dedication to the arts being acknowledged. Moments like these truly boost school spirit and motivate students to pursue their passions. 25 & 26 November Tuesday and Wednesday were dedicated to regular, focused class sessions. I continued to implement the lesson plans I've been developing, working on classroom management, and refining my interactive teaching methodologies. These routine days are vital for building a consistent learning environment and deepening my understanding of the students' individual learning styles. 27 November Thursday was a key day for academic assessment. I conducted a Diagnostic Test for students in Classes 8C and 8E. The purpose of this test was not to grade, but to...

Monday to Wednesday: The Routine of a Teacher The first half of the week was a great way to settle into the daily flow of school life. Regular Working Days: I managed my assigned classes, focusing on lesson delivery and classroom management. The students are starting to get used to my teaching style, and I'm learning how to better engage them. Substitutions: I covered several substitution periods, which is always a good test of quick thinking and adaptability! It gives me a chance to interact with different age groups and subject matter. Discipline Duty: As part of the teacher on duty, I helped oversee the hallways and general student behavior during breaks. It's an important aspect of school environment maintenance and provides valuable insight into the non-academic interactions of the students. 📝 Thursday: The Thrill of the Spelling Bee Thursday brought a fantastic change of pace with an organized Spelling Bee competition for the students. This...

November 10th to November 14th, 2025, was an incredibly busy and invaluable period for us B.Ed trainees as we had the opportunity to be fully immersed in the school's Midterm Examination process. It was an excellent practical experience, not just in invigilation (exam duty), but in understanding the logistical demands of running a large-scale assessment. We saw firsthand the importance of preparation and maintaining a calm, disciplined environment. The pace was brisk, covering nearly every core subject throughout the week. Our duties involved managing the students, distributing papers, and ensuring adherence to examination protocol.I understand! Changing the perspective to that of a B.Ed trainee adds a new dimension. I'll make the tone more reflective and focus on the practical experience gained during exam duty. 🎓 A Trainee's Perspective: Navigating the Midterm Exam Week! Hello everyone! This past week, November 4th to November 8th, 2025, was an incredibly busy and inval...
