6th Week Teaching Practice

12 January 2026
School Experience: The day followed the usual rhythm of discipline duty, register signing, and serving mid-day meals.
Classroom Experience: For class 8E during the 4th period, I conducted a 25-mark achievement test based on the lessons from Unit 4.
Evaluation: It was a fun and productive day characterized by active student participation.

The school day started with the usual bustling energy of the students. While observing the school culture, I noted that while the environment is generally supportive, there is a clear need for better supervision during the transition between lunch and the start of afternoon classes to keep the hallways quiet. In the classroom, I delivered the remaining portion of "Thank You, Ma'am". Using a PowerPoint presentation, I introduced the glossary; the students noted the terms down and practiced creating their own sentences. Overall, the day was a success in terms of student engagement.

School Experience: This day focused on academic intervention. I spent time in the resource room, which provided a quieter environment than the main building.

Classroom Experience: I worked with a small group of five students who were struggling with specific topics, conducting a remedial class tailored to their needs.

Evaluation: I observed that the school has an organized system for identifying students needing extra help based on test scores. This experience taught me that "remedial" does not mean slower, but rather a different approach to learning.

School Experience: I used the school environment as a backdrop for a comparative study between two 8th-grade divisions.

Classroom Experience: I conducted an activity session in class 8E using a timer app. Students successfully completed their tasks within the specified time and recorded their progress on task log sheets. I also continued with the song "Thank you maam" by the Langston Hughes, leading a discussion on the need for love and kindness.

Evaluation: This was a remarkable day where I felt I showcased my potential. The training has significantly improved my understanding of effective classroom management.
