Twelfth week of Teaching Practice

6 October
Today was all about substitution, and I had the pleasure of spending time with two completely different groups!
First, I covered Class 9 B. These students were engaged and kept me on my toes with some great questions. It’s always interesting to see the dynamics of a class that isn’t on my regular roster.
Later in the day, I jumped over to Class 6 A. The younger students always bring a burst of energy to the classroom! We had a productive (and lively!) session. It’s a good reminder of how different age groups approach the same school environment.
Lesson Plan 38: Grammar Deep Dive
Despite the substitutions, I stuck to the plan for my regular class, 9 C, where we dove into some serious grammar!
We covered the 38th Lesson Plan (LP 38), which was a dedicated grammar portion. We spent the time drilling down on some tricky concepts and doing practice exercises.
7 October
Another day in the classroom, and this one was packed with variety—from assessing progress to navigating a demanding substitution schedule!
The Achievement Test: Unit 3
Today was a significant day for one of my regular classes as we hit a major milestone: the Achievement Test on Unit 3.
I successfully conducted the assessment, and the students put their heads down and tackled the questions with focus.
It’s always satisfying to see all the hard work from the past few weeks culminate in a test. Now, the marking begins! Looking forward to seeing how well they grasped the concepts from Unit 3 and identifying any areas where we need a quick review.
8 October
Today I had taken the Physical Education class for 9C during the 2nd period. I taught them the benefits and need for yoga. I introduced a new asanas: Vrikshasana . I made them play minor games also.

9 October
Today I yet again took another Physical Education class and taught another yoga pose: Trikonasana, for class 9 C.  During my class time I took 'Prepositions'. Grammar can sometimes feel like a grind, but the students worked hard, and I was pleased with their grasp of the material by the end of the period. Every focused grammar lesson is a step toward stronger writing and better communication for them!

10 October
Today I took the Health Education class for class 9C on the topics Vitamin A and Electric Shock First Aid.
