5th week of Teaching Practice

6 January 2026
Returning to DVVHSS, Thalavoor, after a month’s hiatus felt remarkably seamless, as if no time had passed at all. The day began with the familiar rhythm of discipline duty at 9:15 AM, followed by the heartwarming experience of serving mid-day meals to enthusiastic students. In the classroom, I reconnected with my 8C and 8E students through casual conversations about their exams before introducing the upcoming lesson, 'Thank You Ma’am'. Overall, the day was a vibrant blend of energy and joy, proving that a long break couldn't disrupt the strong bond with the students or the steady flow of the teaching plan.

The day began with the familiar rhythm of signing the register and reporting for duty. Beyond the standard mid-day meal service, I took on additional responsibility by standing for lunch duty in classes with absent teachers. In the classroom, I held sessions for classes 8E and 8C during the 4th and 5th periods, where we officially started the lesson "Thank You, Ma'am". We discussed the author and the major themes, and I was heartened by how attentively the students listened. The chatter and energy of the students truly healed my soul, making for a deeply spiritual and productive day.
