4th week of Teaching Practice

24 November
The week kicked off on a high note! Monday's Morning Assembly was a special occasion dedicated to celebrating talent. We held the Prize Distribution Ceremony for the winners of the recent Kalolsavam (Arts Festival). It was inspiring to see the students' dedication to the arts being acknowledged. Moments like these truly boost school spirit and motivate students to pursue their passions.
25 & 26 November
Tuesday and Wednesday were dedicated to regular, focused class sessions. I continued to implement the lesson plans I've been developing, working on classroom management, and refining my interactive teaching methodologies. These routine days are vital for building a consistent learning environment and deepening my understanding of the students' individual learning styles.
27 November
Thursday was a key day for academic assessment. I conducted a Diagnostic Test for students in Classes 8C and 8E. The purpose of this test was not to grade, but to accurately identify specific areas where students might be struggling or have gaps in their understanding. This crucial data will allow me to tailor my upcoming lessons and provide targeted remediation strategies, ensuring every student gets the support they need to succeed.
28 November
The week concluded with a very impactful session on Friday afternoon. The High School students attended a comprehensive Counselling Class focused on two essential areas:
​Personality Development: Helping students understand their strengths, build self-confidence, and cultivate positive social skills necessary for success both in and out of the classroom.
​Effective Study Skills: Providing practical, actionable strategies on how to study effectively, including time management, note-taking techniques, and exam preparation.
​It was a valuable reminder that teaching extends beyond the curriculum; it also involves nurturing well-rounded individuals ready for the challenges of their future.

The second week of teaching practice, from July 21st to 25th, 2025, was particularly engaging. Monday, July 21st, was a highlight as we celebrated Moon Day, marking the anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Teachers utilized this opportunity to conduct special lessons, activities, and even a small exhibition, bringing the wonders of space exploration to life for the students. This interdisciplinary approach not only made learning fun but also allowed us, as aspiring educators, to observe and participate in creative teaching methodologies. The remainder of the week involved deeper dives into lesson planning, classroom management, and developing effective assessment strategies, building upon the foundational experiences of the first week.

Fourth week of Teaching Practice

4 August  Today we reached college at 9:15 am. After signing the register we went to discipline duty .Supervised noon meal program. It was a regular day with same routine. 5 August  Today was a great experience. We had our regular classes during the scheduled hours. In addition to that, we conducted two activities in classes 8C and 8G, and the students participated enthusiastically. One activity focused on vocabulary enhancement through memory games, while the other was a pencil drawing session 6 August Today, August 6th, our school NCC unit observed Hiroshima Day. The students created many drawings, which were exhibited near the school ground. We gave gifts to the students who won the competitions that we have conducted on the last day. Third week of Teaching Practice

July 28 – August 1 The third week of teaching practice had a packed and engaging schedule. Along with our regular responsibilities such as disciplinary duties, midday meal distribution, and classroom sessions, we were assigned several additional tasks. This week marked the commencement of the First Unit Examination. We were entrusted with duties like collecting, counting, and arranging exam papers into bundles, which we managed efficiently and with care. On July 31, an interactive quiz session was conducted for class 8B during the 7th period. The activity was based on the topic Healthy Habits, and students participated with enthusiasm and energy, making the session both lively and educational. The Sports Meet Inauguration at St. Mary's Higher Secondary School took place on August 1st with great enthusiasm.
